Went to a meeting of the UW System Learning Technology Development Council in Madison last Wednesday. Got this University Fleet Vehicle to drive.  Not as much fun as the Mustang, but hate to leave Sarah without her hot rod if I don't have to.

I know the topic of digital manipulation is a hot button issue, but in this case, I'm wondering if it is ever appropriate to use the Dodge tool on a Chevrolet.

Standard parking at this end of the University is the Francis Street lot (if you're coming from the East) at the left, or the Lake Street lot (if you're coming from the West) at the right.  This is the alley between Francis and Lake. I guess officially it's called the State Street lot which was there first.

Got there a little early, so took a slight detour through the Library Mall. The west side is occupied by the State Historical Society.  This is the day after the election - note the identification of this spot as the Ward 41 polling place on the side walk.  One can almost feel the force of liberalism.

Turning around we see Memorial Library.  The main entrance is now around the corner on State Street.

Turning north across Langdon St. is the Red Gym, originally (in 1894) known as the Armory, but now housing undergraduate admissions and the visitor's center.   Just next door to the right is my destination, the Pyle Center.

It's traditional to have snacks available on arrival (I drove two hours to get there).  I usually wouldn't indulge in such decadent pastry, but the bagels were huge and there was nothing to spread the cream cheese with, and hey, Barack Obama was just elected President of the United States, so I thought I'd celebrate.

It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and we were stuck in this windowless interior room. Here, the very competent chairperson, Lorna Wong, takes charge and gets the meeting started.

Despite the fact that I'm nearly senile when it comes to remembering people's name, I always bristle a little at having to wear a name tag.  I got involved in the discussion about half way through this exposure, so I moved a little bit.

I've had some really awful box lunches in this place. This was a pretty plain ham and cheese sandwich, but it was fresh and there was plenty of mayonnaise and Dijon mustard.  The sesame pasta salad was actually quite tasty.

UW Extension is one the most brand conscious units in UW System.  Their logo is on just about everything.

There's always a bunch of snacks left over and everyone is encouraged to take what they like, so I took these two bags of chips.  I was hoping Miss Vickie's was some local Wisconsin company. but they're a brand of Frito-Lay.  Sarah and I enjoyed them watching Ugly Betty the next evening.

All with the Populist, .15mm pinhole 24mm from 24x36mm frame.  Kodak Gold 200 this time by the way. They had a sale at Walgreen's and it was only $.50 more for four rolls than the Walgreen's brand.
