Gum Bichromate Prints
After taking an exciting workshop in gum printing with Scott McMahon at the f295 symposium in 2008, I was smitten by the process. But I didn't have much success at first and set it aside until later in the year. After working out some of the bugs, I finally was able to make a few prints that pleased me. I still have a long way to go, but at least I'm moving forward!
These prints are made on Fabriano Artistico extra-white paper, sized with gelatin, hardened with glyoxal. Most of the pigments are used are M. Graham watercolors. I used digital negatives printed with an Epson R2400 on Inkpress Transparency Film.
