it might get people to "shoot more film"
sounds like work for someone
perhaps, TP could say something about the economics and practicalities...

You know, there's enough good work posted here now, from day to day, that we could probably fill a quarterly magazine. No idea how it would sell, but on Lulu, there's no huge up-front cost, just the time to put it together...

Sounds like a great idea - how about it be available on an european lulu to save on the p&p costs across the pond - I need someone to bring me a t-shirt across as the p&p is as much as the shirt :)

i'll consider something after the books are complete...
some quick ideas:
*released every 6 months?
*primarily image based with a paragraph or 3 from each photographer?
*images voted for inclusion by forum members?
*includes highlights of forum discussion?
*no essays from TP (this is crippling the release of the 1st book!= because i'm too weak to say "it's done")
lulu would be our only initial way of releasing (as far as i know) i suppose, if it turns out to sell to more than just our forum members i'd consider moving to actual printing and mailing...
open to suggestion and thoughts.

Some thougths:
YESYES, I would like it, and problably buy it... if it's not too much!
When is the book available?
I would be glad to contribute articles and/or photos, I'm writing a piece about the stange phenomenom of bokeh (out of focus blur), and perhaps send it to Mike Johnston (a lens photography writer). This will be in english. And I could translate some articles on my website from dutch into english...
But the whole idea of starting a bokeh discussion was triggered by the pinhole experiences...
The calendar ( I've already ordered one) could be a 'regular' part of a f295 magazine! there's a starting point!
When is the book available ?
There are plenty of article idaes and writers, I guess: pinhole theme s such as 'long exposures', strange devices, impossible things like action and protrature, etcetera..
maybe it's feable to gather momentum, energy and buyers at the same time through this forum. It's sometimes nicer to view and think about photos with a hard copy in your hands, then viewing them (in uptempo) on the screen.
And, we are living all around the globe but have found fellow pinhole-enthousiasts at the Internet.
Maybe a pdf (for members only?) for a small fee could strart the magazine...
By the way: when wil the book be available?
greetings,
Danny

Suggestion (without being rude): finish at least one of the books before you start with new ideas. I know, the calendar had priority but the idea for the book goes back to at least July 2005 :'(
