View Full Version : direct positves (again)

I am going to be eating up a lot of my winter break time with direct positive salted paper tests, and hopefully in camera images. Here are my first 2 tests, just to get an idea of decent papers. The left is Southworth Resume, and the right is Crane's Executive. I like the Crane's better, but will continue tests on both for now. Tonight I am going to print up a value scale, and a little picture and contact print with pictorico. I'll probably have results up tonight or tomorrow - if anything works out!

Here are a couple using a pictorico "negative" (actually a positive, since this is a positive process). I am really happy with the tonal range, and the detail is pretty great. The Crane's is a lot smoother than the Southworth, which is quite grainy. A couple more tests tomorrow, then prepping paper for in camera stuff, weather permitting - asap.

Good results. I like especially the left picture of the beautiful lady.
