flatbed scan to see if it works contrast bumped up *poor image quality*, looks vintage, now If I intended it that way I could get something better

I've started to get a taste for wider formats and lenses.. found a wide angle 21-35 sigma canon fit (fd) in a 'charity' box at a camera shop

interesting but I prefered the full colour panos... they had more life in 'em.
I'm big on life and down on anything else at the moment.

keep going with the 21-35. I love wide lenses and that's a great range so you should be able to do some really cool stuff with it !!!

and i had you pegged as a nihlistic visigoth, andrew! yeah, i liked the vitality of the full-color panos, but this has potential with more contrast/tonal range.

why do people always think that? I'm not a nihilistic anything...

and josh... don't take any notice of me. Just do your own thing, mate.
