Hello , if you have no money for to buy a 20000 usd 40 mpixel hasselblad , you have to enter the garden of astrophotography and use a webcam. Or if you like to carry moving mechanisms or if you want to scan the panorama , you have to go to scanner photography. Two of these methods require laptop or a bulky computer. If you want to take your pictures without a computer , you need a PC 104 mini circuit works with a linux operating system and cost 200 usd.
You dont need to be a minolta engineer for to find answers. This answer comes from byu.edu - microsar radar circuit.

12cm X 12cm windows/linux pc can be built from VIA main boards:
http://www.idotpc.com/TheStore/Peripheral/motherboard/default_itx3.asp?Cate.id=5 about as small as a pc104 type board, but probably cheaper.

Some or all of those run on 12 volt DC power, and or get a 12volt DC power supply from the same place. There are many other places to get the same items, this is just one that I've purchased from in the past. I have a few of the larger mini-ITX boards in use, and will be buying a few more in the fall for work.
