Okay this was shot on a paper negative using a new 5x7 camera I built from a 250 polaroid for the focusing mechanism. I added a back made from 1x2s and pressed board. Then built a negative carrier from matt and press board.,

The lens is the back element of an early kodak lens. The rear element was brought to the front to protect the shutter and aperture blades.

I expect this camera to become my spruce goose. Attached files http://f295.f295.org/uploads/beans_6884.jpg (http://f295.f295.org/uploads/beans_6884.jpg)

...I expect this camera to become my spruce goose.

Does that mean you're only going to use it once, then leave it in a museum to rot? I hope you continue to use it. I like this still-life image; let's see some more with this same camera.

Its a true pain to shoot. I think I'm going to shoot my 4x5home made instead. I had a couple of 2x3s and a couple of 3x4 as well. My 4x5 is a little easier to control than this monster.

The lid on that glass jar adds another mysterious dimension.

Background is intriguing too.
