I want to build a video camera with cheap web cam or survilliance cam.
My electronics knowledge only says that if i connect a analog digital converter to a cable , i can record everything.
I need to know the way of color or bw ccd works ?
I know that there are millions of small light sensors on the ccd .
I think these coming signals might be analog .Is it true ?
Do cameras own internal circuit transform the ccd output signals to digital ? Or computer graphics card converts them to digital in computer ?
And how millions of signals coming from each pixel get organized ? Do they send the signals at the same time or with in a order ?
I think there must be books - blue book , red book ... - for that ...
MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION , Do computer send signal to ccd for to control its sensors output in a order ?

Best ,

I am not expert. Let me still tell you how I understod how those work. I there are errors then there are, so be aware of that.

Color ccd:s work so that there are R, G and B sensors in it.

Ccd:s are analoque. Cameras do convert this signal into digital.

Organizing pixel data in not very simple because pixels are in "honeycmb" position rather than in square rows. In color ccd this comes very complicated because diffiret colors (R, G, abd B) are there mixin thing even more.
