View Full Version : Inserting Images Into Posts

Just something that I recently discovered ... most likely everyone else already knows this, and I'm the last one to find out!

If you want to insert an image into the body of your post, rather than as a seperate "upload", here's what you can do:

Use the B-code function link, where the work 'link' is the URL of the image you want to insert. You can also use the "creates image code" shortcut symbol, when in full edit mode; this will insert the same B-code. For those novices like me who didn't know how this works, if I were to type a URL of an actual image where the work 'link' is in the above piece of code, then instead of seeing the text "link", you would see the actual image itself.

To find the image's URL, right click on the image, click on properties, then highlight and copy the URL, which can then be pasted into the B-code in your text. Of course, you should never copy other's images; I'm illustrating this because I recently had to find an old posting of mine, and insert a copy of the attached image into the body of text of a new posting.

This is a handy feature to use when, for instance, you want to insert a series of images with interleaving text paragraphs.

cool, it works. So, since it's not Tom's bandwidth, does this mean that you could post a 100k+++ image here?
