straight from the neg- but how was it made? there's no fooling the brilliant minds of f295, so the first to identify wins 6 turns of the prayer wheel and the right to name the patch of empty space immediately wsw of arcturus.

Steven:

The reason that you can't figure out these images is that they were captured on a vessel from another planet (and quite possibly another time). The images in the bubbles are the specimens collected (which most probably included yourself). They show no motion because they are not active at this time. The strange shapes at the bottom edge are the actual images of the alien beings observing the captured specimens.

You might need hypnotic regression analysis before you are able to deal with this in a realistic manner.

ok, here's my guess :

shooting through extinguished clear bulbs, positioned in a line (possibly on a track, as in a beauty parlor, bathroom vanity light, store front, etc.), positioned before a mirror which reflects the neon lights (obviously not extinguished)

hope i'm close - i could really use those spins ...

luscher, you are close - sort of, and that wheel already churns endlessly on your behalf...

Some kind of reflection? Off a shop window....or, something?

'shop window' is closer than 'store front' ?

if what i took for the lamp filament stalks of clear light bulbs aren't, they might be flower vases (or a vase, seen through three pinholes), shot from beneath the glass table (the bent black tubing resembles the tubing of my bistro table at home) in a fast food / coffee shop location. the neon still says 'store front', in that vague way, to me.
