What's sharp is so ahrp it almost hurts the eyes. Whats soft really contrast with the sharp. Pretty impressive for close up lenses. Must...try...to...resist...more....experimentation s......

The more I see of these great images, the more I'm tending to believe that 'selective focus', rather than being just a photographic 'gimick', is really a genre all to itself; kind of on the opposite side of the photographic spectrum from pinhole.

Thanks again Daryl for inspiring us with more 'refractive' imagery.

BTW, a friend of mine in Fab11 is busy removing old Nikon steppers (the 200mm fab has recently closed), and I got some more optics; one of them is a convex lens about 5" diameter; I haven't yet measured its focal length. The other lens I acquired is plano concave, not sure what I'm gonna do with it. But the first one I mentioned may work for yet another wide-open, 'selective focus' camera element. Thanks again for keeping us inspired.
