View Full Version : white stripes on exposure

I built a new camera a few days ago and it roughly looks like this:

I took a couple of photos and there's always two white stripes in the middle of the exposure. My first shot is attached to the post. I painted the inside with black matt paint.
Has anyone had similar problems??
Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm not much of an expert on curved film planes, but when I use glossy paper in a curved film plan camera, I get the same two stripes. caused by internal reflections of the paper surface.

I did use glossy paper.
That the glossy paper causes reflections makes sense.
I don't really understand why it causes these two stripes but still it's a good idea to not use glossy paper next time to find out whether that helps...

I have a Merlin paint can camera that does the same thing with glossy paper. I've never tried matte paper, but it doesn't happen when I use sheet film.
