great pics.. the first is my favorite.. the second has too much black around the window IMHO.. the bench is a cool element.. maybe there is a better angle there??

I think I read the caffenol CL is working with high speed films.. Its all new to me but ha my attention because of my interest in the coffee industry (I roast my own).. I am interested to here what coffee people are using in the US and if they are having trouble with wet baking soda?? I am just getting started in this and ave found I will probably be developing my own B&W film..

Not baking soda, it must be washing soda.
The soda you buy in most stores does contain water so it is a difficult to know how much to use unless you dry it first. It will probably be about 25 – 30 % water so you need to use more (by weight) than if it is dry. It is a flexible process so it will probably work however you do it.

Thank you.. I did find the difference between the two and that baking the baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) will dry it out and turn it into washing soda (sodium carbonate) or order from Photographers Formulary, that defeats the fun of kitchen chemistry I suppose but I have not seen washing soda in stores..

Washing soda is readily available in stores - look in the laundry section. The most common brand is Arm & Hammer, in a yellow box.

I will look some more.. the few places I have been this week only had Arm & Hammer detergent.. I am not too worried about chemicals yet.. still having to much fun with foam core and glue :P
