Wonderful capture! And keep shooting! It worked for Monet :)
yeah - definitely agree with you there.
Very well done. Feels like a Steinbeck novel.
I love it when motion is mixed in. nicely done!
Nothing wrong with that! Somehow folks did manage to take a picture or two before smartphones came along :)
I've seen tools like that before, and they're handy for sure. Do you have a smartphone? If so, there's some great free apps out there that are pretty reliable meters. One is Pinhole Assist and...
Angle of the sun looks similar, but that might not be it. I think the Ondu uses a laser drilled pinhole. Maybe the Leclerc uses a chemically etched pinhole in a thinner shim?
Great stuff! It's fun to get the kids involved - they often show things you might not have seen
Awesome image. There's abandoned places every so often around my area here too, but I'm always a bit nervous about going on their property anyways. I should suck it up, looks worth it.
Good stuff, Danny. I also started exploring photographing work commutes, cause I've been doing so much of it. After 4 or 5 shots I started getting bummed out lol. Maybe I should try again.
Nicely done!
As always, excellent work!
Joe's method of using Flickr will work. If you prefer not to use Flickr, you can adjust your export settings. Your program probably has something like JPG quality or compression amount. If it goes by...
I agree a bigger version is needed. It appears to be a good image, but generally when we produce something that others like but we don't, it's because it didn't match our previsualization of the...
gorgeous shot!
I've previously investigated using studio strobes with pinhole, and the data I found was discouraging. Basically what I found was that even the more powerful strobe units would require hundreds of...
Ditto - the tonality of the water is excellent
#3 and #4 do it for me - great job!
Wonderful scenes there Ned!
I totally get the frustration. I'm in a very similar boat, and couldn't take my darkroom stuff with me when I moved. The digital darkroom is very frustrating until you "get it". I also have an Epson...
Are you making it a grayscale image in pixelmator? Some scanning software save grayscale photos as a RGB image, allowing color cast. But if you have a color cast on a grayscale image file, then it's...
Ha! I see what you mean about the Mars Rover shot. I'm particularly fond of the second shot though!
"something decent"...pff... that's an awesome shot!
Love these! Especially the grasses!
