    Hi Nick,

I actually had never seen these cameras until CP's post over the weekend. But, strangely enough, they must also be somewhere in NY City because many of the example photos are here....

    Polaroid SX-70

This is a bit off topic, but here's a video of a Polaroid SX-70 ad that Charles and Ray Eames filmed, with music by The Cramps added. It's a fantastic homage to the end of Polaroid's instant film...

Zone plate - film area coverage?

I use them for 35mm. According to Mr. Pinhole, a 40mm focal length for a pinhole will yield an image diameter of almost exactly 3" - much smaller than a 4x5. But, I'm not sure if a zone plate will...

Finding a Zone Plate, plus more ZP q's

I read somewhere that it helps prevent reflections inside the camera. Since I shoot negatives, I guess it doesn't matter, but perhaps it makes a difference when shooting print film?

Finding a Zone Plate, plus more ZP q's

Yeah, that was the problem that I was alluding to above. 2400 DPI is 94 DP mm. So, the rough resolution is down to .01mm. To be safe, I think it's best to keep it down around .02 or .03mm. I don't...

Finding a Zone Plate, plus more ZP q's

Another problem with super short focal lengths with a zone plate is that you have to deal with the 'resolution' of the film. The shorter the focal length, the smaller the pinhole, and thus the...

I use that hollow brass tubing that is available at any art supply store. You sharpen the end of the tube with sandpaper, and then lightly tap it through the tape. Check out this thread.
