    Baby Saguaro at Gates Pass...

A lovely shot. I like the toning and the halo of light around the plant. The pinhole distortion turns a static subject into movement. Well done.

    Pier

Piers are a popular subject, and some images are good. This is unique and outstanding.

    Old Bridge ...

    My sentiments, precisely, Reudiger.
It may be a while but I will try to get a similar pinhole here in the UK to work on.

    Old Bridge ...

Beautiful timeless quality, both from the tonal range and content. The border helps too.
I am not wanting to start a tedious debate on old processes versus digital, but I am tempted to try scanning...

    Diagonal grass becomes bridge

Great composition, light and textures. One example of where infinite depth of field is perhaps a disadvantage as regards the detail in the distance, or is it putting the rest of the scene in context?

    Mills

I like the first particularly; moody with the foreground waste ground enhancing the atmosphere. Pity about the clipped chimney :-/
I tried cropping the second image to just brickwork which I also...

    Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde...

Puts me in mind of Edward Weston, but still lots of originality in treatment. Well done.

    a pair of dam shots

The second image is for me very fine. A great contrast of the solidity of the stone v the ethereal water, could be clouds, space, our planet in the universe...

    Picnic Point, Lake Mendota

Beautifully atmospheric shot and the birds are just superb
  11. Definitely the last Holga Orkney shot

And the last of the WPC120 shots from Orkney, this time looking west. Beyond the horizon, Canada.

    Orkney again-Maritime debris

The seas around Orkney are littered with maritime debris, some deliberately as with the blockships scuppered to prevent German access to the British naval fleet in Scapa Flow (unsuccessfully), or...

    Upturned boat

Many thanks to all for the kind comments. I have other shots of Orkney though not appropriate for this site since they were on 35 mm Kodak infrared and the completion of some very old DiaDirect B&W...

    Ring of Brodgar

Another shot from Orkney on the Holga WPC120, this time of the neolithic stone circle called the Ring of Brodgar.

    Upturned boat

We are just recently back from a week on Orkney where I deliberately shot only film. This is an image of an upturned rotting boat at the loch side, taken on HP5+ on my newly acquired Holga 120 WPC....

    Spurn Point

Sorry, I misunderstood your query. I imagine your guess as to cause of asymmetric vignetting is pretty close. although I have a feeling that different ambient light intensities affect...

    Spurn Point

    Bert,
The vignetting occurs with all of these cameras and is inherent in their design. It is visible in the two bottom corners on my shot but not so obvious because the tones are lower. There was...

    Spurn Point

Just put my first roll of film through my new Holga 120WPC panorama pinhole.
This is Spurn Point on the east coast of the UK. It's quite a bleak place, a sand spit constantly moving and with a very...

I particularly like the first image with its strong compositional lines, and your printing style is very appropriate. I have had it in the back of my mind for some time to do a pinhole series on the...

    Millenium Bridge

Great shot. Lovely combination of curves and straight lines, all powerfully composed. I also like the vignetting effect in sky and the building at the far end. Which camera was used?
