    Boise River 6x12 Camera

I think my brain is misfiring tonight. A better way to put it would be to say that it's a nice sort of impressionist image.

    Boise River 6x12 Camera

I love this image. Fantastic. The muted tonality really helps reduce the image to a "skeleton image" construction that my mind can fill in with details.

Misc; RB67 back pinhole cam, first roll!

    Not for the photographic purists:

  5. Retro Rocket pinhole X-ray film salt print

Cool. Always wanted to try salt printing, but... too many other projects on the go at the same time. Don't need another!

Misc; RB67 back pinhole cam, first roll!

Hmmm... put your hands together like you're holding a big bowl of soup with your fingers touching, and triple that size (diameter-wise). How's that for a description ;)

Misc; RB67 back pinhole cam, first roll!

I think it's around 25mm. I can measure again, but yeah, same camera I showed in the building / modifying area.

Pinhole is very small; 0.13mm, I think. It was the smallest one in the set I...

Misc; RB67 back pinhole cam, first roll!

Interesting association; I can see it now that you mention it. I guess you're another who's spent hours and hours "exploring" the depths of that amazing construction... such simple math, such...

Misc; RB67 back pinhole cam, first roll!

Made an RB67 back ultrawide pinhole cam... finally got the first roll back today. Worked out okay considering this is 1995 expired Velvia! It doesn't have the nice normal velvia punch, but for...

    Hipstamatic

This can be used to achieve certain end results, and if that's your only concern, then it's fine. I'm sure the right person could use this to make stunning art, if they used it with the right vision...

    Prototype RB67-back wide pinhole cam

Oh yeah, that might be an issue. I just tried it with empty 120 backing paper (checking the film start position relative to the start of the counter on the back), which is of course thinner than the...

    Prototype RB67-back wide pinhole cam

While we're on the topic, does anybody know whether you can run 120 film through a 220 back? Other than the film counter being incorrect I can't see why it would not work (and I did check the...

    Prototype RB67-back wide pinhole cam

Second that. The back I'm using was re-sealed with one of his kits (though not by me; I got this back from a friend when I dropped it and cracked the case and felt obligated to buy him a...

    Prototype RB67-back wide pinhole cam

I tested mine out and the big limitation is the lack of a tripod socket (plus the instability of the camera making it hard to rest it on flat surfaces). So I'm going to be rebuilding a better one...

    Prototype RB67-back wide pinhole cam

Yours is much prettier than mine, though mine is not quite as rough as it looks (it's fairly small and the irregularities aren't as bad as they look in these images).

    That sliding lock thing isn't...

BTW if anyone can suggest a way to manufacture metal clips to hold the back on without rubber bands (perhaps wouldn't work with this, but maybe for the wooden one that I will eventually make) that'd...

    Prototype RB67-back wide pinhole cam

I've been holding onto this old 220 RB67 back for a long time planning to "one day" build a pinhole camera around it. I've got a freezer full of 220 Velvia from 1995 that I scored for free, and I...

    Queen's under snow

Yeah, the human eye is great at adjusting to the colour of ambient light. You would perceive the blue tint of the snow as white at the time because your brain does this kind of thing automatically. ...
