This was my first attempt at Argyrotypes. The image posted was my second print on this negative, the first was too light and my spreading of the chemicals was not very consistent. The negative is Acros @EI 50 in Pyrocat-HD. Leonardo 3" 4x5 camera @ 12 second exposure.

    Nice image, very old stile.
    Interesting method.
I've checked in internet what Argyrotype is.
It seems to be the oldest possibility to get paper positives from negatives.
I like this style. Very intersting!
Is it necessary to mix the chemicals at home, or can I buy ready mixtures?
(Is it difficult to mix the chemicals??)

I bought the sensitizer pre-mixed from Bostick & Sullivan. I toned in KRST diluted 1:100. Fix was straight Hypo in a 2% solution, so the chemical mixing was pretty easy and quick.

That's a pretty nice print for a first attempt. Good tonality through out the whole range.

Thank you for the breach of secrecy
