    Shift pinhole camera (progress report)

Let me introduce my current project called Aleph 67XY: a roll film pinhole camera with shift capability in both axis.
The design has been chosen after a year or so of occasional sketching (mostly during my business trips on train).
Technicalities: 6x7 cm format, image distance 35 mm, shift +/-20 mm. The camera will use the Graflex RH-10 back (not shown here). Still undecided about shutter -- I would like to have a cable release, but I want to minimize the complexity so it will probably end up with a "lens cap" shutter :-)

Basic components cut to dimensions -- front and back plate, rails, middle plate, "handle" bars. Attached files

    Front view. 6x7 cm, 37 mm, f/165.
Vertical and horizontal shift 20 mm.
The shutter is controlled by a cable release.
The world is not black and white. It often looks good in grayscale, though.

Nice progress you've made, looking forward to seeing first light images. It's fun to come back to a project that's been sitting around incomplete for a time, gives one a sense of accomplishment.

Just feeling I am owing something about this project. The camera was finished as presented, but I was kind of disappointed with it -- I cannot say why exactly, it was rather a feeling of "overengineering"... Ended up dismantled, some parts will be recycled.
