    New salt work

Here's a handful of my latest salt work. I haven't printed it in a while, but it's my favorite process. The first 3 are the salt versions of the 1914 Indian parts pinholes I posted in the b&w pinhole section. The others are just knick-knacks of mine.

2% ammonium chloride prep, no gelatin. 15% silver solution on Stonehenge 90 Natural.

I tried a couple pieces with Kosher salt prep, but it spontaneously fogged badly. The amm. chl. prep will too, but very minimally, and you can even avoid it if your sensitize your paper only a couple sheets at a time. I also did the Indian parts images on COT 320, but it's actually a tad soft for salt. Attached files

    New salt work

I think that #4 and #5 work best for me, partially because they are a bit darker (double coated?) and partially because they are rather surreal. Nice idea.

    Cheers -
