On what might be my last visit to the wild acreage of my friend Doug Sharp in St. Croix County, Wisconsin. He is putting the property up for sale in anticipation of a move to Washington state.

The pinhole and the pin sieve have both their own charm.

Hello Earl,
I really like the perspective, draw and compression of the 200mmfl pinhole. Its look is fresh and different from the usual "wide angle" expanded perspective we obtain from our pinhole cameras with a focal length 1/2 or less the diagonal of the film plane. Your range of tones and detail are beautiful. I love it.

Thank you, Sam. I intend to use my field camera platform for more long focal distance pinhole images. I think that there is lots of room for exploration in this area.

Really love both images, but number one is my favorite, both for the subject/composition and for the tonal range captured. First class pinhole work as I am sure you are aware.

Earl, the first image is really nice with the way the light hits the rim of those birches/aspens.
Very fine work.
