Had a nice windfall yesterday. While cleaning up the storage at my job we ran into a gifted old enlarger that was a bit too old to use.
More fun for me cause i just turned it into a new camera.

I can get about a 6x6 image out of it without modifying anything and i get to use some homemade paper holders that i already had.

Looking to make it a bit more use friendly now. A way to put it on a tripod etc.

Bottom images are the camera. Top is negative and positive test shot.

I had a little block of steel machined with three holes - one to allow the block to slip over the monorail rod, a second tapped at 1/4-20 for the tripod socket, and a third little oil hole to lube the bit if it needed to be slid up or down on the monorail. Everything is clamped on with a single allen bolt that fits into the groove on the underside of the rod.

    So far, so good!

That's probably the most elegant way to go about it yeah. I'm thinking about clamping a plank with a tree nut in it on the bottom there where there's another one of those white nut handles.

Excellent recycling and good first results.
