Hybrid Printing
Cody Goddard
May 25-27
Exploring the use of liquid emulsion and cyanotype printing on different substrates with digital negatives will be the focus of this workshop. We will start with digital images, which can be from scanned film or objects, digital cameras, or any number of other sources. We will discuss proper technique for printing digital negatives, and will use the negatives we create to print on a variety of substrates such as wood, paper, and metal. We will also talk about how to choose an appropriate substrate for a given image. Students will leave with the knowledge they will need to print their images on a variety of materials, and will be able to transfer this knowledge to other forms of alternative printing. Students should bring some images they are interested in printing.
