Test Images

These are from a test roll shot with a converted Argus 620 camera. I made the conversion some years ago but recently replace the hand made pinhole with a Skink retro pinhole. The f/stop is 0.03 and I am thinking that I may need to go smaller. For now I will continue shooting and see how I feel about it later on. Kurt

Nice set of "test" shot, exspecially the second one.
I assume you meant your pinhole (not fstop) was .03inches(.76mm) what is the distance from pinhole to film plane. This will help in determining the best pinhole diameter.

I agree, something dreamy about the 2nd one, I really like that one. The all look slightly split on my screen, with hints of sepia and green and maybe a hint of purplish cast in number 3.

I made a big error: The focal length is about 82mm, the pinhole currently is 0.30mm, and the f/stop is about f219. According to "Mr Pinhole's" calculator, with the FL= 82mm, the pinhole should be 0.382 and the f/stop would be f215.
The problem is that you can look at four different tables and get four different sets of recommendations. Is there one formula/table that seems to work better than the others?

As to the "split tone" that Ned was seeing on his screen - I am not sure why that was occurring. I use Nik Software's Silver Effects Pro as part of my workflow and have created a preset that a use for all of my for pinhole photos. This should give a sepia tone.

Calculations aside, I wouldn't call these test images. They're far too beautiful for that.
