these are lovely also. there is something historical about them, as in there is nothing to indicate that they were taken in 2013. nice!

Thanks Isabella. Yes, it's a place that seems to have eluded 'progress' throughout the last couple of centuries.

Great images. These inspired me to take my pinhole camera to Williamsburg last weekend.

    Thank you, Robert!
I'm glad you felt some inspiration from these.

It's actually something which crops up a lot in posts arounf F295. Almost everyone comments on how looking at other people's work can be inspiring. I certainly have always found it so.

Great images. Inspired me to get my pinhole out. I really like the one with the lighthouse in the back ground.

A place of remarkable beauty indeed, and you have captured it very good.
The toning fits the images and the scenery very well.
Too bad for some of the light leaks, but you can return there, hopefully with that same fantastic light.
It's too far away for me to drive up there from the Netherlands, so could you please go again (and again) and shoot some more ?
    Thanks in advance :-)

If you ever do make it up this far Danny, please let me know and we'll do a shoot together.
In the meantime I will promise to visit the South Great Wall as often as I can.
