    Most seen pinhole photo?

Maybe even the most famous pinhole photo ever. Any guesses?

Hi Earl, thanks for the reply. I haven't been here in a while so I missed your lovely picnic point image, very nice.

I do recognise the other two, and if I am correct they are pretty well known, but would any non pinholer, or even non photographer recognise either one? I may not be right in my guess, but I will hold off for another while before I post up what I think is the most seen pinhole photo. I think most of us will say we wont have seen it first on the internet... Interesting eh! (and I think most of us have indeed seen it, a lot)

I thought of that one too. It made a big splash when it first appeared. I remember seeing it when I first got interested in solargraphy, but I don't remember if it was the first solargraph I saw. I'd guess there's a good chance that's the most seen pinhole among the current generation.

Hi Ned, I had never seen the Onion Field (or at least couldnt recall it) so thanks for that, and a very interesting story behind it too.

Thanks for the solargraph too, you do forget how big these images are until reminded about them.

However, neither of these two are the image I have in mind, remember, I am not going to state a fact, as I have no numbers to back me up, but I think you will agree with me when you see the image you all know so well, and read the story behind it. In fact, until I had seen a certain documentary I had thought it was a drawn/painted piece. Does that give away any clue?

Ok, I get the feeling this question has run its course. I will pull the trigger on this one soon, last chance, is there a clue in this?

What you said is setting off all kinds of "bells"! But I haven't thought of it yet. One of those giant dumpster pinholes was made at a racetrack....

I'm going to think about it for another day before I check back here!
