    morning walk- 6x13 zone plate

I wanted to test new zone plate/pinhole camera and made short walk through Tolpa Park. Morning wasn't pleasant- windy, grey december. Anyway, i'm pleased with results. camera- 6x13,5 curved plane, 21 clear zones ZP, exposures 3-6 seconds at 100 ASA

That second one looks amazing, like the sky was was painted in. Did you make your ZP?

    Very nice results, Cezary!

Is the camera a new design?

@Ned- yes, i did myself zone plates. I can send you a sample for tests, if you are interested.
@Dave-thanks for warm comment- yes, that's new design of my 6x13 and 6x17 camera. I improved it since George posted here first camera review- first of all i added more tension between take off/up reels. This one has interchangeable pinhole/zp apertures mounted in blank filter rings

Gorgeous camera! I might take you up on that offer, or at least hear how you made them, are they made from film?
What focal depth is the ZP designed for? ( I've always been curious if a ZP image would look different if you left out the central "pinhole"... )

Very beautiful photographs. The second one is a classy shot of a class place. I would like to try a ZP in my 4x5 some day. I have a darkroom and some litho film but have no idea what size to make a ZP. Is there a good reference here on making them. PS beautiful camera too. Jim

Zone plates are generated in Pinhole Designer, made on high contrast sensitive material in pre-press machine (Agfa Avantra Imagesetter- i have some contacts in printing companies). To be honest this one zone plate was calculated for FL35mm camera -6x13 curved plane pinhole has focal length 80mm. If you left out central pinhole image will be a little less contrasted

You can create ZP using Pinhole Designer. More clear zones gives more glow and blurry effect.
