    Lighthouse solitude

    Here's a shot taken a few months ago with my 5x7 135mm F250 pinhole. Shot on Ilford MGiV, before I figured out pre-flashing to reduce contrast. It looks like a gloomy day, but it actually was partly sunny. Funny how exposure issues can change a scene.

    I'm finding that wind can really mess up these open landscape shots. Even with a sturdy tripod, wind will jiggle a box camera pretty badly. Not much you can do, I guess it's one of the trials of long exposure.

    That`s a very nice composition. Love it!
    I had build my 4x5 with heavy wood and thick walls trying to build up some mass to avoid the wind. But it seems to be not enough depending on the wind...
