A couple more instant pinhole from yesterday.

I enjoy using instant film for pinhole, but it's not as "instant gratification" as you might think... I always wait until I get home to peel them, so that I can hang them to dry in a closet where there is no dust. I need to make a drying box.

I didn't time these exposures, but around 20 or 25 minutes each.

I'm a sucker for the textures leaves make against the sky... always looking and making photos. I get the feeling that others sometimes find them sort of boring, but I'm endlessly fascinated... when I walk through the woods I'm always looking up. And I'll never forget the first time I drove through the back road in Jedediah Smith Redwoods in a car with a sun roof!

Hi Elizabeth, it's a polaroid colorpack from the goodwill auction site for $5 or $6. I cut the front off with a hacksaw or dremel tool and replaced it with a piece of black matboard with a pinhole and simple sliding shutter. It's fun! I'll try to remember to post a picture of the camera here later this week. I also snapped off the "viewfinder" and epoxied a tripod socket where it used to be.

oooohh. Mmmm I have a Polaroid around here that takes FP100C, maybe it's time for some, um, engineering.

On the colorpack cameras, you can remove the front of the camera with the lens assembly just by removing some screws. Originally I did that to make a "normal view" pinhole camera, but I like pinhole photos to be wider, so eventually I sawed off the front of the camera to make the pinhole closer to the film.... I might find time tomorrow to take a photo of the camera. Not much to it really!
