My furure 6x17 pinhole panoramic camera

Hello, I am completly new to pinhole photograpy. So I find this forum very interresting and very motivating to beginers. Since 2 weeks I read about camera making in this forum, and yesterday I decide to try to build one myself. It will be a circular 6x17 with a 0,40mm hole. So, I'll show you my work in progress.

It's the very first stage of the building, it will be the film holder. The design is modulable, if in the future I want to make 6x6 or 6x9 I have just to build another film holder, not the entire box. (In theory)
I don't think it will be ready for the pinhole day, because I can work on only the week-end.

Hi, this weekend I have some spare time to work on my project. The film holder is nearly finished. It's made of thin MDF and glued with vynilic glue. Here are some picture of the project.

Looks really good so far, how do you find the mdf for staying together after glueing? Is it strong enough, or will you be reinforcing it with an outer box?

I have started my plans since last night, and it will no doubt look something like yours, its around a 6x18, but i am sure things will change when i realise i missed something simple!! Beginners eh? Whod put up with them?

Yes it is strong, but after i will built an outer box with 16 or 19mm MDF panel. This part is just the film holder, it can be remove to put the film in.
Hope to see your design soon.

Yike! So, you're planning to call this the M1A2 Abrams camera?! That's going to be one heavy pinhole cam...
