Broken Walls - Mission Espada - in black and white

A black and white version of the Broken Walls.
I posted the color version last night.

I guess preference depends on intent.

The BW version has a much "darker" feel to it, a bit sinister. Cold and rather uninviting, move along to more hoispitable surrounds.

The color version is more open, especially in the shadows, and carries a bright tranquil air about it. Peaceful and serene, stop and sit awhile in the shade.

If preference is based on intent, I suppose how it is displayed will depend on context.

(edit) I suppose I should answer the original question....in in this instance I prefer the color image. The detail intrigues me and in this instance the image tells me more of a story in color. Answers more questions than it asks, so to speak.

I agree with Marv, more sinister in B&W. The branches are like long withered fingers. Very atmospheric
