Thread: Arches

  1. #1

Spent a lot of time shooting this arcade of arches. Had to dodge some rain during the time I was photographing as the roof is no longer there.

Addendum: this is the backside of the Mission San Jose - one of the Missions in San Antonio, Texas

Wista 4x5 field camera with pinhole turret set to zoneplate

!!!! The horrendous and awfully egregious flaw about this photograph is the fact that it is not mine!!

What is it that you have accomplished?
    Good &@%!!
You have dotted all the "i"'s and crossed all the "t"'s!!
The rule of thirds is obvious and in the geometric progression of the golden mean perspective vanishing not outside the frame!!!

D@|/|N!! Am I having a religious experience or what?
Everything is right where it should be!

I think Erin should be banned for making me look bad, but not before I get a print of this one!

Oh, Erin, that's lovely. Got to agree with Daryl about the structure and shapes--everything is right where it should be--and the colour shifts of the polaroid film suit the subject and zone-plated glow-light so very well, too.

This is where the decision process becomes the primary focus of the day. A few inches in any direction and the look is different and as we all know different is not the same.

You spent the time well and this is a visual treat. Kind of what I think of as a recognizable abstract. You know what it is, you may know where it is but the reality is it alters the original considerably and becomes something else. Not a factual representaion but a stylized vision. Hard to do well but beautiful when presented.

Nice, very nice Erin, you did this one very well.

Congratulations, Erin. You have raised the bar for lensless Polaroid photography one more notch.

Absolutely wonderful. I'm green, or is it blue, with envy. I am inspired to perhaps buy some Polaroid.
